Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos -- Meetings

The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos meets from noon to 1 p.m. each Tuesday in Kelly Hall at Trinity-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church, 3900 Trinity Drive, Los Alamos, N.M. The club’s meetings are open to the public.

During these meetings, the club agenda includes opening ceremonies (a patriotic song, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a prayer), announcements, committee reports, “Happy Dollars,” and lunch for a reasonable price. For the first three Tuesdays of the month, the club selects and invites speakers to give presentations of approximately 20 minutes. Speakers and topics are occasionally subject to change because of illness, conflicts, or weather.

The fourth Tuesday of the month is devoted, primarily, to committee meetings.

When the month has a fifth Tuesday, there is no noon meeting, but, if a volunteer steps forward, the club holds a party at the volunteer’s home in the evening.
